Profile

Manage your account details, including personal information, login credentials, and notification settings. Update your profile, change your password, and adjust preferences related to account security and communications. Your profile settings affect how you interact with Mumara and how the system displays information to you.

Access your profile by clicking your avatar in the top-right corner of the screen and selecting My Profile, or navigate directly to the Profile page.


Accessing Your Profile

There are two ways to access your profile settings:

From the Avatar Menu

  1. Click your profile avatar in the top-right corner of the screen
  2. A dropdown menu appears showing:
    • Your name and email address
    • My Profile link
    • Security link
    • Logout button
  3. Click My Profile to access your profile settings

User Menu Sidebar

Once on the Profile page, the left sidebar provides navigation between:

Profile Tab

The Profile tab contains your personal and contact information.

Update Avatar

Your profile picture appears throughout the application wherever your user is displayed.

Edit iconClick the pencil icon on the avatar to upload a new image
Remove iconClick the X icon to remove your current avatar and revert to a default image

To update your avatar:

  1. Click the pencil icon on your current avatar
  2. Select an image file from your computer
  3. The image uploads and displays immediately
  4. Click Save to confirm the change

Core Fields

These fields are always present on the profile form:

Email Address *Your login email address - this is used for authentication and receiving system notifications; changing this changes your login credentials
Name *Your display name shown throughout the application - appears in activity logs, reports, and anywhere your user account is referenced

Profile Fields

The remaining profile fields are dynamically configured by your administrator. Common fields include:

PhoneAn additional phone number for contact purposes
CountryYour country of residence - selected from a dropdown list of all countries
Address Line 1The first line of your address
Address Line 2Additional address information (apartment, suite, unit, etc.)
CityYour city
StateYour state or province
Post CodeYour postal or ZIP code
CompanyYour company or organization name

Dynamic Field Types

Administrators can configure profile fields of various types:

Fields marked with an asterisk (*) are required. The specific fields shown on your profile depend on how your administrator has configured the system.

Saving Changes

After making changes to your profile:

  1. Review your information for accuracy
  2. Click the Save button at the bottom of the form
  3. A confirmation message appears when changes are saved successfully

Locale Tab

The Locale tab controls how dates, times, and language are displayed in your account.

Locale Settings

Time ZoneYour local time zone - all dates and times in the application are displayed according to this setting (e.g., "(GMT+05:00) Karachi"); select the time zone that matches your location for accurate scheduling and reporting
LanguageYour preferred interface language - the entire application interface displays in this language; only installed languages appear in this dropdown
Date/Time FormatHow dates and times are formatted throughout the application - choose from various formats like "15th of January, 1989 5:00:00 am" or other available options to match your regional preferences

Why Locale Settings Matter

  • Campaign scheduling - When you schedule a broadcast for 9:00 AM, it sends at 9:00 AM in your configured time zone
  • Statistics timestamps - Open and click times display in your local time zone
  • Activity logs - All logged events show times converted to your time zone
  • Reports - Date ranges and timestamps in reports use your locale settings

Saving Locale Changes

  1. Adjust your Time Zone, Language, and Date/Time Format as needed
  2. Click Save to apply changes
  3. The interface updates immediately to reflect your new settings

Best Practices

Keep Information Current

  • Update your email if it changes - this affects your ability to log in and receive notifications
  • Verify your time zone when traveling or if daylight saving time affects your region
  • Use a recognizable avatar - helps team members identify you in activity logs

Profile Security

  • Use your work email for professional accounts
  • Don't share login credentials - each user should have their own account
  • Review your profile periodically - ensure information stays accurate

Locale Accuracy

  • Match your physical location for Time Zone to ensure accurate campaign scheduling
  • Test date formats by viewing existing records to confirm the format matches your expectations
  • Consider your audience when choosing language settings

Troubleshooting

Avatar Won't Upload

Possible causes:

  • File too large
  • Unsupported image format
  • Browser caching issue

Solutions:

  • Use images under 2MB
  • Use JPG, PNG, or GIF format
  • Clear browser cache and try again

Time Zone Changes Not Reflecting

Possible causes:

  • Browser cache
  • Page needs refresh

Solutions:

  • Hard refresh the page (Ctrl+F5 or Cmd+Shift+R)
  • Log out and log back in
  • Clear browser cache

Language Not Available

Possible causes:

  • Language pack not installed

Solutions:

  • Contact your administrator to install the desired language
  • Check Tools → Languages if you have admin access
