Add-ons

Manage your add-ons: install, update, enable, or disable them. Add-ons extend Mumara Campaigns with additional features and functionality to customize the platform for your specific needs.

Add-ons provide modular functionality that can be installed and managed independently:

Add-ons Management

Navigate to Setup → Add-ons to view and manage all add-ons.

Status Indicators

Each add-on shows its current status:

Installing an Add-on

From Available Add-ons

  1. Navigate to Setup → Add-ons
  2. Find the add-on you want to install
  3. Click the Install checkmark icon
  4. If required, enter the license key when prompted
  5. Wait for installation to complete
  6. The add-on status changes to "Installed" and "Enabled"

Upload Custom Add-on

  1. Click Upload add-on button
  2. The upload modal appears
  3. Select your add-on zip file
  4. Click Upload
  5. Mumara verifies the file structure before installation
  6. Add-on appears in the Available add-ons list
File Verification

Mumara validates the add-on structure before installation to ensure compatibility and security.


License Key Management

Some add-ons require a license key to function.

Entering a License Key

  1. Find the add-on in the list
  2. Click Enter License Key button
  3. Enter your license key in the modal
  4. Click Verify
  5. License is validated and saved

License Key Sources

  • Purchase from the add-on vendor's website
  • Included with your Mumara license (for bundled add-ons)
  • Provided by third-party developers

Updating Add-ons

Check for Updates

  1. Click Check for updates button at the top
  2. System checks all installed add-ons for available updates
  3. Add-ons with updates show "Update Available" link and Update button

Updating an Add-on

  1. When an update is available, you'll see:
    • Update button with the new version number
    • Update Available link
  2. Click the Update button
  3. Wait for the update to complete
  4. Verify the add-on functionality
Backup First

Always backup your system before updating add-ons, especially for major version updates.


Enabling and Disabling Add-ons

Enable an Add-on

  1. Find the add-on showing "Disabled" status
  2. Click the enable/activate icon
  3. Add-on status changes to "Enabled"
  4. Add-on features become available

Disable an Add-on

  1. Find the add-on showing "Enabled" status
  2. Click the disable/deactivate icon
  3. Add-on status changes to "Disabled"
  4. Add-on features are hidden but data is preserved
Data Preservation

Disabling an add-on does not delete its data. You can re-enable it later and your settings will be retained.


Uninstalling Add-ons

Remove an Add-on

  1. Click the Trash icon on the add-on
  2. Confirm the uninstallation
  3. Add-on is removed from the system
Data Loss

Uninstalling an add-on may permanently delete add-on-specific data. Ensure you have backups if needed.


Add-on Settings

Some add-ons have configurable settings.

Accessing Settings

  1. Find the add-on with a Settings link
  2. Click Settings
  3. Configure the add-on options
  4. Save your changes

  • Shopify Integration
  • Webhooks

Troubleshooting

Installation Failed

Possible causes:

  • Invalid add-on structure
  • Missing ZIP extension
  • File size exceeds limit
  • Add-on already exists

Solutions:

  • Verify the add-on package is valid
  • Enable PHP ZIP extension
  • Check upload file size limits
  • Remove existing add-on first

License Verification Failed

Possible causes:

  • Invalid license key
  • License key not found
  • Network connectivity issues
  • Domain mismatch

Solutions:

  • Verify the license key is correct
  • Check your purchase confirmation
  • Verify internet connectivity
  • Ensure domain matches license

Add-on Not Working

Possible causes:

  • Add-on is disabled
  • Configuration incomplete
  • License expired
  • Conflicts with other add-ons

Solutions:

  • Enable the add-on
  • Complete all required settings
  • Renew license if expired
  • Disable other add-ons to test

Update Failed

Possible causes:

  • Network connectivity issues
  • Insufficient disk space
  • Permission problems

Solutions:

  • Check internet connection
  • Free up disk space
  • Fix file permissions
  • Try again later

Installation

  • Research first - Read documentation before installing
  • Check compatibility - Verify Mumara version support

  • One at a time - Install add-ons individually to identify issues

  • Regular updates - Keep add-ons updated for security and features
