Changelog
Stay up to date with the latest improvements, new features, and fixes shipped in every release of Mumara Campaigns. Each entry documents what changed, why it matters, and what you need to know before updating.
Versioning
Mumara Campaigns follows a major.minor versioning scheme:
| Segment | Meaning | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Major | Significant changes that may require attention before updating (platform upgrades, architectural changes, new modules) | 7.0, 6.0 |
| Minor | Smaller feature additions, enhancements, and bug fixes | 6.9, 6.9.1 |
Before updating to a new major version, please read the release notes carefully — they often include important steps such as server requirement changes, database migrations, and post-update tasks.
How to Update
You have two equally supported ways to update your Mumara Campaigns installation:
- In-App Update Wizard (Recommended) — Navigate to Tools → Update and follow the guided wizard. The wizard handles downloads, file placement, database migrations, storage restructuring, environment configuration, cache clearing, and cleanup for you.
- Command-Line Updater — If you prefer shell access or your environment blocks the in-app download, run the command-line updater. It performs every intermediary operation itself — no manual file edits required.
Major releases (for example, 7.0) involve architectural changes — framework upgrades, storage restructures, schema changes, permission migrations, and more. Attempting to update by copying files manually will leave your installation in a broken state. Always use one of the two official updaters above, and if anything goes wrong, contact your Mumara team member before attempting a fix.
Before any update — especially a major version — take a full backup of your application files and database. A clean rollback path is the cheapest insurance you can buy.
Releases
| Version | Release Date | Type | Highlights |
|---|---|---|---|
| 7.1 | TBD | Minor | Stuck segment exports, copies, and moves recover automatically and resume exactly where they stopped, exporting/copying/moving re-engineered for very large audiences (tens of millions of contacts) with dramatically faster batched copy and move, near-instant loading of a segment's contacts page, export cancel/start lifecycle fixes, and hardened contact importing — "Skip duplicates" now skips in-file duplicates with a one-contact-per-email guarantee, "Overwrite" no longer stalls or loses contacts on large imports, and imports no longer get stuck at 100% on spreadsheet cells containing line breaks, plus an optional multi-server (cluster) mode that keeps Application Settings in sync across every server behind a load balancer, cluster-safe scheduled tasks that run on exactly one server at a time, background hooks fixed on all queue drivers, queue-interval and update-reliability fixes, and a new admin option that forces HTTPS tracking links across all sending domains and locks each domain's Use Secure URL switch on |
